Gloria Jean's Coffees to reopen in Ala Moana Center’s Ewa wing

Gloria Jean’s Coffees will open in the redeveloped Ala Moana Center Ewa wing in November, returning to the Hawaii's largest shopping mall after an absence since the mid-2000s.
Gloria Jean’s Hawaii CEO John Giovas says the company plans to open 20 stores over the next 10 years as part of a multimillion-dollar expansion.

“Our stores will feature our new look and feel and represent a significant enhancement to the offer you may remember from the previous Ala Moana store,” he said. “We will bring to Hawaii coffee from countries such as Kenya, Columbia and Ethiopia, to name a few. We also have a number of exciting new coffee brew methods and drinks that we intend to bring to Hawaii, a real game changer in the coffee experience.”

The 1,700-square-foot store will be located in front of the Bloomingdale’s entrance, and will offer dine-in and to-go options.

About 30 people will be hired for the new store.

Gloria Jean's Coffee has locations in more than 40 countries around the globe.
