Donau Zentrum

Donau zentrum opened in 1975, and the Donauplex joined it in 1999.The Donauplex consists currently of 25 restaurants such as Burger King, Kentucky Fried Chicken and Oase. In addition it has 5 shops, one cinema center and a discothèque. Donau Zentrum is the biggest shopping center in Vienna with more than 260 shops for fashion, beauty, lifestyle, dining and many more. The wide range of products and brands attracts around 18 million visitors per year. The shopping center is known as the fashion destination in Vienna, as new and unique brands arrive regularly and exclusively at Donau Zentrum. The shopping center is directly connected with the city center via the metro. It has been extended several times since 1975. From 2009 until October 2010, it was extended and rebuilt. The new, opened in October 2010 component includes more than 60 new stores, bringing with 28,000 m² one third of additional retail space. The middle of October opened, 38 meter high sculpture Sunbeam to the raindrops paint on the outer wall of Südteiles the Danube Centre supplement. The front of the Danube center opposite the Kagran subway station was covered with LED Plan, whereby the entire headboard can change color. Unibail-Rodamco invested 105 million euros in the expansion of the Danube center, another 45 million flow into the modernization of the existing shopping center.
